"The most important thing in life is music: that goes without saying. What does need saying, over and over again, is that this doesn't obviate the need to be kind."

Dazzle Graph, interview in Slate, Dec 2nd 2020.

"Hello, hello, hello, is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home? There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ship smoke on ther horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move, but I can't hear what you say."

Pink Floyd, The Wall, 1979

"You find a queen without a king, you know she plays guitar and cries... and sings."

Led Zepplin

Hi, I'm Billie Sue! I live with my mother and stepfather and aunt and two cousins Vere and Caramel in a modern ecohouse so far up in Maine it's practically Canada, and I'd wish it was if that wasn't, you know, unpatriotic and stuff. I go to school, and I play guitar. In my dreams I'm a twenty-five year old beret wearing sophisticate in Tulsa who plays in a rock band at night in cafehouses, but even in my dreams I know that the Tulsa scene will be over by the time I'm old enough to get out there, or really to get any place. Being fourteen sucks so much!
